With the past 2 years being pretty difficult for some more than others, it’s about time that we all treat ourselves and what better excuse than with Christmas coming up. Year on year technology seems to be one of the top gifts that people buy for their family and friends. So we’ve picked out our top 10 tech Christmas gifts that we think would be the perfect gift to put under the tree this year, and something for every budget.
1. Xbox Series X and PS5

Now, we don’t want to get into the argument as to which is best because we could be here all day, but the Xbox Series X and PS5 are arguably the best two gaming consoles out there. You may have heard in the news they are not exactly easy to come by due to multiple reasons like a shortage of chips being made, but if you are able to get your hands on one it’s one of the top tech gifts this year. If you do manage to get one, let us know 😉
2. Fitbit Luxe

The Fitbit Luxe is the smallest of its kind available but it still packs a punch with the same features as the more expensive models. It has all the features you would expect like step count but also has more advance features including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and health metrics which is worked out using the parameters recorded throughout the day. You can also connect it to your smartphone to get call and text notifications. It has a sleek design and there are a range of different colours and straps available to match your style.
3. Apple AirTag
We’ve seen similar devices before from companies like Tile, but Apple have launched their own version called AirTag. It’s pretty simple, just attach it to an item like your keys or bag, and if you loose it all you have to do is open the app on your iPhone and it gives you directions to your lost item. They can be purchased individually or in a pack of 4 and make a perfect gift for your loved ones who are always loosing their stuff.
4. Google Nest Mini
We know this has featured on our list before, but for good reason. The Google Nest Mini is a brilliant smart speaker and we think the main appeal is it’s size. Being quite small it’s easier to make space for one on your desk or kitchen worktops in just the place you need it when you want to play music or ask Google Assistant a question. We’ve also written a more in depth review which you can see here.
5. GoPro Hero 10
We have featured GoPro on our list before, and this year there is the newly released GoPro Hero 10. It has all the usual features you would expect but with new upgraded HyperSmooth 4.0 to make your shots buttery smooth even on the roughest terrain. It now records in a whopping 5K at 60fps for crisp shots or 2.7K at 240fps to get super smooth but also clear slow motion footage. Keep an eye out on our website as we have a full in depth review on the Hero 10 coming out very soon.
6. GoPro Accessories
Now this only really applies if you are buying a GoPro, or someone you know already has one. But there are a range of different accessories available including tripods and mounts to attach the camera to your car or bike etc. The ones in the pictures are the Shorty tripod which is also an extension pole and the Magnetic Swivel Clip which is perfect for clipping it onto something like a hat to film your point of view.
7. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7

Now, we know this is quite an expensive tablet, but it is one of the most powerful tablets around and could potentially replace a laptop if you get it with the detachable keyboard as well. The new processor gives it the type of speed and performance you would expect from a high spec computer allowing you to play games and multi task to your hearts content. It uses an Amoled and 120Hz display for super clear and smooth visuals and Dolby Atmos quad speakers to truly immersive you in whatever you are watching. It also includes an updated version of the S Pen to draw and create designs on the tablet. It’s safe to say that anyone getting one of these for Christmas will be very lucky indeed.
8. Touchscreen gloves
These make a perfect gift for a stocking filler present this Christmas. They have a special coating on the fingertips of the gloves so that you can still use the touchscreen of your smartphone or tablet, and they even work on car infotainment screens so you can use your devices while still keeping your hands nice and warm.
9. Magazine subscription
A magazine subscription is the perfect gift that keeps on giving all year round. There are loads of different technology magazines available including Stuff, PC Pro, Wired, Computer Active, T3 and many more.
10. Surface Earbuds

These latest wireless earphones are the perfect gift for music buffs. The technology used in them creates an immersive sound experience and the battery will last all day. The outer edge of the earphones is a touchscreen and can be used to answer calls, skip songs, adjust the volume and on certain devices can be used to dictate speech. They can pair instantly at the touch of a button with Windows devices, but don’t be put off by the fact that they are from Microsoft as they can also pair with Android and iPhone.
Thanks for reading our latest blog post, we hope that you find the best presents for your loved ones and have a great Christmas!
